Rotary pumps are classified into two general categories and then subdivided into four/five categories each:

MULTIPLE SCREW

  • SINGLE ROTOR
  • VANE - The vane(s) may be blades, buckets, rollers or slippers which cooperate with a dam to draw fluid into and out of the pump chamber.
  • PISTON - Fluid is drawn in and out of the pump chamber by a piston(s) reciprocating within a cylinder(s) and operating port valves.
  • FLEXIBLE MEMBER - Pumping and sealing depends on the elasticity of a flexible member(s) which may be a tube, vane or a liner.
  • SINGLE SCREW - Fluid is carried between rotor screw threads as they mesh with internal threads on the stator.
  • Progressing Cavity - Fluid is carried between a rotor and flexible stator.


1, VANE - The vane(s) may be blades, buckets, rollers or slippers which cooperate with a dam to draw fluid into and out of the pump chamber.

   1) QCB, NZB, NYB slide vane pump
   2) YC, LYB slide vane pump


2, PISTON - Fluid is drawn in and out of the pump chamber by a piston(s) reciprocating within a cylinder(s) and operating port valves.
Piston pump
   1) J, LJ piston pump
   2) 3D high pressure piston pump
   3) 3W high pressure piston pump


3, FLEXIBLE MEMBER - Pumping and sealing depends on the elasticity of a flexible member(s) which may be a tube, vane or a liner.
   1) IHP Flexible pipe pump
   2) IT, TL Flexible pipe pump
   3) U stainless steel Flexible pipe pump


4, SINGLE SCREW - Fluid is carried between rotor screw threads as they mesh with internal threads on the stator. ( Progressing Cavity - Fluid is carried between a rotor and flexible stator. )
Single screw pump (Eccentrial helical pump)
   1) G single screw pump
   2) CS single screw pump
   3) EH single screw pump

 

 

  • MULTIPLE ROTOR
  • GEAR - Fluid is carried between gear teeth and is expelled by the meshing of the gears which cooperate to provide continuous sealing between the pump inlet and outlet.
  • LOBE - Fluid is carried between rotor lobes which cooperate to provide continuous sealing between the pump inlet and outlet.
  • MULTIPLE SCREW - Fluid is carried between rotor screw threads as they mesh.

GEAR - Fluid is carried between gear teeth and is expelled by the meshing of the gears which cooperate to provide continuous sealing between the pump inlet and outlet.

LOBE - Fluid is carried between rotor lobes which cooperate to provide continuous sealing between the pump inlet and outlet.

   4) 3RP lobe pump


MULTIPLE SCREW - Fluid is carried between rotor screw threads as they mesh.
   1) 2G, 2H, 2W serial twin screw pump
   2)W, V, Wkse serial twin screw pump
   3) 3G serial triple screw pump
   4) SN serial triple screw pump
   5) SM serial triple screw pump
   6) SZ serial triple screw pump
   7) SPF serial triple screw pump
   8) 5G serial quintuple screw pump
